My name is Tony Turin and I was born and raised in Welches, Oregon, and graduated from Sandy High School in 2002. After high school, I completed a Bachelors’s degree and a Doctorate degree in Optometry from Pacific University. Shortly after graduating in 2010, I was directly commissioned as a Captain in the US Army. Most of my military commitment was spent working at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During this time, I worked as the Chief of Optometry at Womack Army Medical Clinic, I covered on-call in the emergency department, and I evaluated more patients than any Optometrist in the area. In 2013, I became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, something only ten percent of optometrists achieve. I have also gone on to complete my Masters in Business Administration. I have been married to my beautiful wife since 2004, and have two amazing kids. I am still so excited to be back in my hometown and serving the people of the Mt. Hood area! Please make us your hometown choice for all your vision and eye care needs.

Mt. Hood Eye Care is very excited to introduce Dr. Ryan McEvoy to our team of doctors. Dr. McEvoy is native to Oregon as he grew up just south of Portland and went to high school at Jesuit in Beaverton, OR. He attended Gonzaga University in Washington for his bachelors degree in Human Physiology before returning to Oregon for his Doctorate in Optometry at Pacific University.

He brings to Mt. Hood Eye Care a well-rounded training as he completed clinical rotations through NVISION eye centers in Tigard, OR, Patch Army Health Clinic in Stuttgart, Germany, VisualEyes in Walla Walla, WA, and the Spokane VA Medical Center in Spokane, WA.

While at Pacific University he also completed his Masters in Business Administration to prepare himself for future in private practice.

Dr. McEvoy has many fond memories while growing up of visiting Sandy to ski or kayak in the Mt Hood area and is excited to be able to serve such an amazing community. Dr. McEvoy enjoys spending time outdoors running or hiking with his wife, traveling to explore new places, and following all things Portland Trailblazers.

Mt. Hood Eye Care is very excited to introduce Dr. Jessica Bublik to our team of doctors. Dr. Bublik was born and raised in Portland, Oregon in a Ukrainian-American household. She attended Portland State University for her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Pre-Optometry and then got her doctorate in Optometry at Pacific University. Before coming to Mt. Hood Eye Care she completed clinical rotations through NVISION eye centers in Tigard, OR, Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas OR, Chemawa Indian Health Center in Salem OR, and the Spokane VA Medical Center in Spokane, WA.

Dr. Bublik is fluent in both Russian and Ukrainian, allowing her to better serve and connect with many families in our community. She is very passionate about eyecare and serving the local community by providing high quality vision care and making every patient feel welcome and comfortable in the clinic. She currently lives in Portland with her husband and enjoys reading audiobooks and doing everything outdoors, from hiking to swimming. She is also a lover of travel and exploring new cities and countries around the world. We are confident you will enjoy getting to know her and will feel very comfortable placing your eye care in her hands.

Kim Turin is the lovely wife of Dr. Turin. She graduated from Barlow High school as valedictorian and went on to be an All American Collegiate athlete at Corban University. Kim is the reason Dr. Turin started to pursue Optometry years ago. She has worked in the industry for over fifteen years and has a vast amount of knowledge in finance and optometry. Kim is the CFO of both the Gresham and Sandy practices and manages both the businesses primarily from home. Kim and Tony are also proud parents of two awesome kids! Kim enjoys church, the great outdoors, being a wife and mom, hanging with friends and family, and coaching volleyball.

After graduating salutatorian from Templeton High School in 1987, Catherine started her career as an Optician in 1989 at a private optometric practice in California where she grew up. She enjoyed learning all aspects of the office, from patient welcoming to optometric technician, to running the In-house lab where they would do their own edging of lenses.

In 1992, she and her husband moved to Montana where she spent some time working in a full-scale, nationwide optical laboratory. She feels her experience in both the office and laboratory gives her a well-rounded array of knowledge that helps her as an optician. While in Montana, Catherine became certified with the American Board of Opticianry.

Moving to Oregon in 1999, Catherine has since worked as an optician at two other offices in the Portland area, as well as another nationwide full-service lab as their final inspector.

Joining the Mt Hood Eye Care team in 2017, and enjoys being in a smaller, family-oriented office best. She truly enjoys giving our patients quality eyewear education throughout their ordering experience, so that each patient can make a well-informed decision on their eyewear investment to receive the best vision possible. We are happy now to have all of Catherine’s experience as she manages the Sandy location and is a managing consultant to our other offices. Catherine really enjoys the challenge of adjusting misshaped glasses, so don’t think it’s hopeless until you bring her the challenge of repairing it!

Catherine loves to spend time with her husband of over 30 years. She has 3 grown children and has finally become a grandma! In her free time, Catherine enjoys cycling, reading, and playing the piano for Logan Community Church where her husband is Pastor.

Lori is a long-time resident of the PWN. Raised across the river in Washington then spent most of her life traveling and living all over the West Coast. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a Professional Sales Certificate from Washington State University.  She has an extensive background in specialty retail, spending more than a decade with Luxottica. Her time with Luxottica created a love for helping people see and finding the PERFECT pair of glasses for them.

While enjoying her time as a Sales and Event Coordinator, she was missing the personal connection that takes place clients. A string of not so random events led to an impromptu interview and even quicker offer to join the Mt Hood Eye Care team. It was a beautiful example of God’s timing in all things. After years of longing to find the perfect job back in optical, this made sense.

Always knowing she would set her roots back in the PNW, in 2018, she and her husband set their roots in the most perfect spot on the mountain. It embodies everything they love. Trees, water, hiking, and mountain air that charges the soul! She has two bonus sons and 2 amazing Buggs: Frank and Betty. Frank is her ride or die buddy and Betty is her pillow princess. They all love hiking and car adventures! They spend as much time on the mountain as they do at the coast.

Lori loves serving her community and making great connections with those she meets.

We are so happy to have Leilani as part of the Mt. Hood Eye Care family! Born and raised here in Portland, Leilani brings a deep local connection and a warm, enthusiastic spirit to our office. She recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resources.

Leilani’s transition into the optical field has been a perfect fit. Her five years of experience in customer service shine through in everything she does; she is dedicated to making every patient feel right at home the moment they arrive. Leilani finds great joy in meeting new people and building relationships within our community. When she isn’t helping our patients, you can usually find her out exploring the Pacific Northwest, catching a live concert with friends, or simply making memories with her large, loving family.

We are delighted to introduce Anna to you as she joins the Mt. Hood Eye Care team! Originally from Ukraine, Anna began her career as a cosmetologist, spending seven years in the beauty industry where she developed a deep-rooted passion for helping people look and feel their best. She especially loves applying her background in aesthetics to help patients select the perfect frames to complement their unique style and features.

Since moving to Oregon in 2016, she built a new life and had two wonderful children. After nine years in Damascus, she recently relocated to Sandy and has quickly fallen in love with the town’s welcoming, small-town charm.

Anna brings a cheerful and warm spirit to our office. From the moment you walk through our doors, she is dedicated to ensuring you have a positive experience, whether she is scheduling your appointment or assisting with the perfect eyewear selection. She finds great fulfillment in helping others and building meaningful connections with patients. Fluent in three languages, Anna values communication and enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.

A lifelong learner, she is always eager to grow personally and professionally. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her children and friends. She enjoys staying active through fitness, hiking, biking, and exploring new places. Her favorite hobbies include crafting and working out.

Anna brings warmth, dedication, and a positive attitude to everything she does, making her a valued member to both her Mt Hood Eye Care team and her new community.

We are thrilled to welcome Sundus to the Mt. Hood Eye Care team!

Since arriving in the United States from Pakistan in 2014, Sundus has been dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth. With an extensive background in retail, she has cultivated exceptional customer service skills and is now excited to bring that expertise to the medical field. Sundus is already enjoying connecting with our patients, consistently serving them with the compassion and professionalism that defines our practice.

Outside of the office, Sundus stays happily busy raising her two young children and spending time with her husband.

Kelly is the sister-in-law to Dr. Turin and sister to Kim. She graduated from Barlow High School as a salutatorian and went on to graduate from Eastern Oregon University with her Business degree.

Kelly has worked in the industry for over fifteen years and has a vast amount of knowledge in managing an optometry office. Kelly was at Mt Hood Eye Care when it opened, and shortly after that, she decided to be a stay-at-home mom for 5 yrs. She is currently our fabulous billing specialist for all of our offices: Mt Hood Eye Care Sandy, Mt Hood Eye Care Gresham, and our newly acquired Cascade Vision, of which she manages all her billing tasks from home.

Kelly has two beautiful daughters and enjoys church, the great outdoors, being a wife and mom, and spending time with friends and family.
